The morning featured a full brunch spread, including our signature grits bar, juice bar, and sweet treats. Guests enjoyed live raffle drawings, inspiring teacher stories, and a hands-on gratitude activity where attendees created heartfelt cards to encourage educators. Our guest also enjoyed a gratitude tree in which each person let us know what they are grateful for.

Welcome to Made for Teachers
Made for Teachers was founded in loving memory of Mary F. Tindal, Marion County’s first Black woman to receive the prestigious Golden Apple Award (1991). A proud graduate of Bethune-Cookman University with high honors, a devoted pastor’s wife, a Sunday school teacher, and a dedicated mother of three, Mrs. Tindal spent 34 years in the classroom and a lifetime pouring love, supplies, and wisdom into every student she served.
Her oldest granddaughter, Yolanda Thomas, started this organization to honor her legacy and continue the work she cherished most: uplifting educators and the students they serve.
